Content filtering software installed directly on individual computers typically does not work well. Unwanted web pages need to be blocked before the information ever reaches the local computer. Web security appliances accomplish this by intercepting content at the network perimeter, ensuring no entry to connected desktops.

If a filtering appliance is not feasible, ICE Systems offers a Remote Proxy service to protect your computer or computers from inappropriate Internet use.

Using our Remote Proxy service, any web page requested by a filtered PC user is directed first to filtering servers at the ICE Systems network operations center. If deemed acceptable the page is delivered to the user's web browser. If denied, the request is logged and a message is displayed in the user's browser indicating the request was blocked and logged.

Computers are shielded from undesirable websites without any additional hardware or locally installed programs.

Setup for the Remote Proxy service is simple. We provide you with step-by-step instructions that guide you through the modification of basic network settings. You provide us with a list of filtered users and the filtering preferences for each.
