Unsolicited e-mail, or spam, is an annoyance any computer user wishes to live without.

Whether checking e-mail at home or at your office, if unprotected, you will invariably end up deleting a multitude of unwanted email. The content of spam can range from bogus opportunities to make millions, to free drugs, to obscene messages that could get you fired in certain circumstances. Spam however is more than just a nuisance.

Besides clogging channels and wasting resources, spam can carry a lethal payload to the unprotected computer, the dreaded virus.
