THE ULTIMATE WEAPON AGAINST JUNK E-MAIL
Filter irritating spam into quarantine automatically
We're all sick of it! Pornography, endless special offers, "earn thousands weekly", Viagra, enlarge body parts, and all the other junk email. Your time is valuable, so having your email inbox flooded with junk messages is not only annoying but also costly.
Now, you can put a stop to it with iHateSpam — the fast, easy way to dramatically reduce spam in your inbox. iHateSpam installs directly into your email program, running quietly in the background - - scanning and filtering that time wasting, irritating junk email. Incredibly easy to use
Unlike other products that require you to manually enter technical or password info from your email system during setup and then make you run a separate program to intercept spam, iHateSpam runs inside of your email program. There are no extra steps required - it's truly simple to use!
The new Version 4 of iHateSpam supports Outlook Express, Outlook 2000, Outlook XP, Outlook 2003, Eudora and Hotmail (see specific notes regarding Hotmail support below:)
Automatically filter all incoming email
Once you install iHateSpam, your incoming email is automatically analyzed against iHateSpam's spam indicators to determine if a message is spam. Suspicious emails are then quarantined if you ever want to review them later. Finding quarantined messages is easy. In Outlook Express, they are placed in the deleted emails folder. In the Outlook, Eudora and Hotmail versions, they are placed into a separate spam folder.
Each time mail is quarantined, you can choose to be notified with a popup window, or simply let the program work quietly. It couldn't be easier! Does not lose emails you really need to see
No one likes spam — but you want to make sure you do get email that's really intended for you! That's why iHateSpam does two important things. First, if an email is from a sender on your Friend's List (pulled from your address book), the email will always get through to you. Second, all email marked as spam is placed in a separate folder so you can always retrieve it later.
One year of free anti-spam updates!
Spam changes. That's why iHateSpam automatically checks for updates to its spam filters when you start your email program. All available updates are downloaded automatically. It couldn't be easier! Your purchase includes one year of free anti-spam updates. Annual subscriptions are available for subsequent updates.
Create lists of friends
At your request, iHateSpam allows you to build a "Friends List" by automatically analyzing your address book. In the Outlook version, iHateSpam will even analyze any email folder you choose, such as your sent items folder, or folders of past emails. Once a Friends List is created, any message from someone on the list will get through to you. Of course, you can add more friends at any time.
Create specialized enemies lists
What if you get an email from a sender that you don't want to get again? That's where the Enemies List is so handy. Simply designate a sender as an "Enemy", and mail from that sender will automatically get quarantined without checking any additional rules.
Here's a good example of how the Enemies List is so useful: You may have signed up for a mailing list a long time ago, but you're no longer interested in receiving any more mail from that list. However, it may simply be too much hassle to figure out how to "opt-out" of the list. By adding the sender to your enemies list, you will no longer receive mail from that sender again. Build your own Personal Rules
iHateSpam's "Personal Rules" feature allows you to create custom spam indicators based on over a dozen mail message properties. Personal Rules will not be overwritten or deleted by the iHateSpam automated rule update service.
Manage threshold levels
Use the Thresholds slider bar to adjust the level of unwanted mail messages that are filtered. The higher the threshold level, the more aggressive the program will be in its spam detection.
